Easter Week - Part One

We are getting into the Easter mood over here, the Valentines wreath had a little makeover to get things started. G has been amazingly tolerant in accepting what I've been up to. I'm hoping to make it a week focusing on special time with the smalls, and looking at what Easter means to us. We will be incorporating Floss's Easter story into our week as well as crafting and creating through the next few days.

I must just tell you, I love these eggs - They remind me of  marshmellow biscuits (not that I have licked them of course!)....

After a lovely morning on Sunday watching the 6 year old in her end of term drama school production, where she sang, danced & acted her  little heart out & I nearly popped with pride, she and I decorated the Pussy Willow. Great excitment was had by both of us.

Last year we used a branch - which looked lovely, but dropped everywhere.

Work has been busy, so as a cheer-me-up I've treated myself  (a whopping £1.20) to bright yellow daffodils for my Clare Gage vase. Sunshine for the evenings.

And G is back from his travels, bringing nice bags....

for a stationary obsessed wife....

And not so nice ones, for a stationary obsessed wife.

I'm off now to turn this into a StEGGosaurous with the 9 year old

And help the 6 year old create a bonnet for the parade on Thursday.

See you Soon

Love Lydia xx

  7. I miss my teenagers being small and all that goes with it - Easter Bonnet Parade at school etc. Perhaps I should try and get them to make and wear one - or else no chocolate!!!! They still have to have the egg hunt on Sunday morning though!! Your "decs" look lovely, and your gift is marvellous - what is it with stationery? The dancing queen and I are just the same. Have a great week Lydia. xxxxxxxx

Love the egg decorations. I'm waiting for mine to be brought down from the loft so we can get decorating too.
