Shopping

Now what's a child free mummy to do with spare Wednesday evening?

The house looks like a jumble sale, and I really don't want to be a domestic goddess, or even attempt to try to be one...

What I need is some inspiration/motivation.

& it comes in a flash!

This parcel came the other day....

Nicely wrapped....

With a lovely tag ....

This very nice bag, with a very important message....

This bag is most definitely speaking to me (like chocolate does...eat me -eat me...)

Hmm No children....

G is at home - & available to torture....

IKEA it is then - after all, they do sell things that help to keep the house tidy!

I really did need this stand, to replace the one I broke at Christmas

& look! - a cake stand for less than £10

I know its not vintage, but its really quite pretty & I won't be scared to use it....

Bright cheerful wrapping paper - just in case....

Bright cheerful flowers - just because at 38p a pot they are a bargain....

& several large boxes.

Oh yes, I am going to de-clutter the hall, and I am going to create some me space in the spare room, for doing 'things'. Quite what 'things' I do not know - but I will do some'thing' I'm sure....

It was a very productive shop.

Now I just need to see if G will assemble them for me - not that I am incapable of doing so myself - but I have another important thing to do....

Look what I found on the book stall at work....

When the going gets tough - the tough go shopping!

Love Lydia xx

  3. Great buys and what a perfect way to spend some child free time.
Our Ikea is miles away and as I don't drive and OH hates going there I never get to go, we've been once in 2 and a half years. Hmmm must start nagging lol.
I'll have the book after Leslie 'hehe', looks good. You'll have to let us know what it's like.

  7. Hi Lydia

If you save picture (award) then go into customise blog, add gadgets, scroll down to add picture and then add it to your sidebar.
    Is that clear?
I don't think i've had enough cups of tea yey lol!
You're also meant to add links to the bloggers you give awards to but I still can't do that.
    Take care
